June 26: Farewell Assembly at 8:15 am June 26: Class party in the pm June 27: Last Day of School —> Early Dismissal at 11:45 am (We will be going to Park 96 for our last day!) Most student materials have gone home today. We spent the day cleaning our desks, the classroom and prepping for year end. Butterscotch the Guinea Pig Room 3's classroom guinea pig, Butterscotch, is looking for a place (or places) to live over the summer! If you and your family would be able and willing to take her (even if for just a week!) please email Miss Gilbank at [email protected] with the dates that you would be available to house her! She is a lovely, kind guinea pig, and has very much grown in our class's hearts this year! Thank you! Class Party Tuesday On Tuesday, in the afternoon, we will be having our class party! We will have a chance to watch the rest of Harry Potter (if need be) but otherwise the student have been working towards their year end "choice" party! This means that they can bring in a toy, board game or a personal screen (iPad, gameboy) but will not be allowed to connect to wifi or play any games that are rated higher than an E for everyone. The students are aware of the conditions of a gaming device as it was a part of the planning. Students are welcome to bring in snacks for the class if they wish :) Park 96 Wednesday On Wednesday morning, we will be heading to Park 96 for the morning as a last celebration to end our year (wow-the year has ended so fast!). Students will need to bring a water bottle and some snacks as they will be active and likely work up an appetite (maybe pack an extra to be safe). Also- please ensure your son/daughter is dressed for the weather (hat, sunscreen, bug spray...or rain boots, umbrella and a coat...just make sure you look at the weather network to ensure they have they need). We will arrive back at the school around 11:15 to ensure students collect their report cards and other important documents!

Tomorrow is a PJ day and students can bring a snack if they want for the movie (but it is not necessary). We will be watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in the afternoon! We have spent lots of time working on our little Father's Day crafts- we really hope all the dads, grandpas, uncles and male role models know how much the mean to us! We used our time learning how to stamp with Ms. Ferrari and we used things our dads loved as inspiration for our prints. We had 3 mornings with Ms. Chantal- who taught us a legend and other teachings around the dreamcatcher before we were able to start our own! We spent some extra class time on the days in between to help us finish before she came back today. Today we added real feathers to our dreamcatchers and we learned two Cree songs (her favorite one and her son's favorite). We also were able to drum and sing with her. It was a really incredible experience and we are so thankful for the teachings we received. We have been working with fraction kits to create equivalent fractions (= to 1 and 1/2) and writing equations to show the different equivalent fractions. We have been adding artifacts to IRIS for our teachers next year! We have continued to research our animal and to create a visual representation of our animal in our journals. We will be welcoming a new student tomorrow! Ms Parent was able to meet her today :) We are doing Yearbook signing on Friday, June 22, 2018 after the Sports Day activities. This is a chance for students to move about and get their classmates, school friends, and teachers to sign their yearbook. If you did not purchase a yearbook with the fees at the beginning of the year, there is a limited amount of yearbooks for purchase. Each yearbook is $18.00 and must be purchased with a cheque or cash (exact amount, no change will be given) in the office. First come, first served with payment. Each student that has not purchased a yearbook will be given a specially designed autograph page that can be signed by classmates. Please check with your child’s teacher as they will have a list of those who have purchased yearbooks. IMPORTANT DATES
