Homework:
Read for 30 minutes :) Today was a great day in grade 3/4. We started the day in Phys. Ed where we worked on our puck handling skills for our hockey unit. Unfortunately, the students were super chatty today which made it difficult to fit in time for a scrimmage :( Afterwards, we used our collaborative creatures to co-write a fairy tale in our small groups. Most of us were able to get a good start on the writing process. After recess, we had math groups, where Ms. Parent's group worked on identifying patterns and pattern rules for the problems "Squares make squares" and "Patterns in squares. After groups, we read an excerpt from a Remembrance Day booked and shared our personal experiences with Remembrance Day and why it is important to remember why we live in such a peaceful country. After DEAR, we had music, read the rest of the section of Wonder from Justin's perspective and then worked on our spooky stories. We are working on clearly establishing an effective beginning of our story and after having some time to work on them, some of us shared what we have done so far. This allowed us to get some feedback from our peers on things we are doing really well and to think about how we could improve it. |
