Thank you Tristan :) Next we had PE and where we are using the circus props! After PE (we had about 15 extra minutes because the grade 4s were away), we had some catch up work where we could work on our eagle sketch, our bio poem and our pen pal letters. As it is the month of the teaching of love/kindness, the students nominated Jack, Madi and Rachel for showing love and kindness today!

After the centers we went to music, where we were reminded to check the music blog! Ask me why it is important to do so. Once we came back from music, we talked about our new teaching for the month which will be love. We shared ideas about how we can show love and kindness in the classroom, in our homes and in our community. Ask me one way I could show love in each of these areas. We also read an excerpt from the book Seven Sacred Teachings on the teaching of love. During snack, Ms. Parent read a few pages from Harry Potter. While she had many requests to read for the full hour, we moved on to our next task ;) Next, we sketched an eagle in our visual journal which will we will continue to work on over the next couple of days. After lunch we had DEAR time and then Ms. Parent shared a couple of examples of some biographical poems and then we started our first drafts. During PE, we played Dr. Dodgeball :) When we came back, we reviewed addition strategies, completed a problem and then ended our day with 5 minutes of Harry Potter. Have a great night everyone!
