Homework: Read for 20 minutes Finish Rocks and Minerals presentations! We need recycled materials to make instruments for our hearing and sound unit! Some commonly used items include: cereal boxes, kleenex boxes, pringles tubes (we need these for rain sticks as well!), egg cartons, plastic yogurt containers, solo cups...essentially we need hollow items! As well, we need elastics! Important Dates: Jan. 15th- Conference bookings open Jan. 25th- Hearing and Sound presentation Jan. 25th- Parent/Teacher conferences (330-730pm) Jan. 26th- Parent/Teacher conferences (no school) Jan. 31st- Fun lunch (Edo) Highlights from our day: We started our day investigating how many multiples of a given number could fit inside of 100 using a measuring tape as a numberline. Next we used our "earned time" that we have been saving up for quite some time to go on Minecraft in partners and design a Peruvian landscape! Afterwards we had music :) To end our day we cleaned up, had snack and got ready for buddies In our buddies, we chose reader's theatre scripts and parts, highlighted our parts and some of us were able to start practicing our lines! Congratulations to Jack on earning the teacher chair! We hope Finuffy has a great weekend with Carter :)
