FYI: Please bring in cardboard (paper towel and toilet paper rolls) for our science builds :)
Congratulations to Alexis for becoming student of the week this week! She was an AMAZING help while I was away sick and Ms. Temple said she did know how she would have made it through the 3 days without her. She said great things about all of the students and LOVED her time in our classroom. In health, we have been looking into our emotions and which ones we feel take up the most space in our brains. We have also been exploring some of the things that we need most in our lives to make us happy and how some of those things will change over time as we grow and change ourselves. In math, we have been looking at fractions and creating various equivalent fractions through addition and subtraction. We have some students that have also been investigating how multiplication and division can also help us to create equivalent fractions as well. In science, we have been finishing up or builds and notes in our visual journals and we will be moving into our carnival builds tomorrow! In social, we have been focusing our time in Minecraft as the students continue to build a country that is inspired from a particular region of AB or one of the four global communities. We have been playing baseball and kickball (or soccer baseball if you are from the East Coast ;) ) in Phys. Ed. and continuing with our novel study Auggie and Me. Have a great night everyone!
