SO Weebly has not been working properly as of late - so I will summarize our last few days and hope it works! Tomorrow is a PJ day and students can bring a snack if they want for the movie (but it is not necessary). We will be watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in the afternoon! We have spent lots of time working on our little Father's Day crafts- we really hope all the dads, grandpas, uncles and male role models know how much the mean to us! We used our time learning how to stamp with Ms. Ferrari and we used things our dads loved as inspiration for our prints. We had 3 mornings with Ms. Chantal- who taught us a legend and other teachings around the dreamcatcher before we were able to start our own! We spent some extra class time on the days in between to help us finish before she came back today. Today we added real feathers to our dreamcatchers and we learned two Cree songs (her favorite one and her son's favorite). We also were able to drum and sing with her. It was a really incredible experience and we are so thankful for the teachings we received. We have been working with fraction kits to create equivalent fractions (= to 1 and 1/2) and writing equations to show the different equivalent fractions. We have been adding artifacts to IRIS for our teachers next year! We have continued to research our animal and to create a visual representation of our animal in our journals. We will be welcoming a new student tomorrow! Ms Parent was able to meet her today :) We are doing Yearbook signing on Friday, June 22, 2018 after the Sports Day activities. This is a chance for students to move about and get their classmates, school friends, and teachers to sign their yearbook. If you did not purchase a yearbook with the fees at the beginning of the year, there is a limited amount of yearbooks for purchase. Each yearbook is $18.00 and must be purchased with a cheque or cash (exact amount, no change will be given) in the office. First come, first served with payment. Each student that has not purchased a yearbook will be given a specially designed autograph page that can be signed by classmates. Please check with your child’s teacher as they will have a list of those who have purchased yearbooks.
