IMPORTANT DATES
May 16: Fun Lunch (Wok Box) May 18: PD Day (no school for students) May 25: Volunteer Tea Starting this week, we have begun taking on some outdoor missions as a way to start our learning :) One mission asked us to sit quietly, back to back with a partner, and to record all of the sounds we heard in five minutes while another asked us to excavate any materials from a finger sized whole that we dug and to record our findings in our visual journals. We had music today :) We had an introductory lesson on area and perimeter- ask me what I know about each one and maybe see if I can calculate the area and perimeter of a square or rectangle :) Today we voted on reading a whole EXTRA chapter of Harry Potter during our math block as it has been very exciting and we are SO close to the end! We shall make up the math lesson tomorrow ;) We worked on division (computation) on 10 monkeys today. We have finished up our Tunisia presentations over the last two days! We are continuing our work on story beginnings. Today we went over how to copy and paste and some of us have started to edit our story beginnings using the feedback provided by our groups. Library tomorrow- please remember to bring in your books!
