FYI
Fun lunch: May 31st (Opa) Outdoor School Day Challenge: May 18th PD No School: May 19th Victoria Day- No School: May 22nd Volunteer Tea: May 26th Please ensure your son/daughter has warm outdoor clothes tomorrow and are prepared for the weather as we will be outside for most of the day tomorrow :) Over the last two days, we have continued working on our basketball dribbling and shooting skills; adding in lay-ups and having a focus on dribbling the ball with control, using both hands and keeping our eyes up. We have also moved into our multiplication/division unit; discussing strategies and working on mental math skills to support us in finding solutions to problems. In our social studies classes, we have been working on a text-quest as we have been researching the energy types, services and completing a mapping assignment that asks us to look at the different resources in our province of AB as well as the global communities. We have been completing outdoor challenges and are preparing for the outdoor classroom day tomorrow! We are looking forward to using alternative settings to learn in! Many students are excelling in the recorder program! There are a few students that need to spend a bit more time practicing their recorder...ask me if I am one of those students! We have also been spending time in our literacy groups in our novel studies. Have an amazing night!
