Congratulations to Hudson who was our student of the week last week!! Hudson demonstrated an ability to always choose kindness and to follow instructions quickly!
Thank you to Ms. Smith for the yummy (and creative) cookies for Wyatt's birthday which was on Nov. 12th :) Quote of the week: When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind. FYI: Telus Spark is on Nov. 17th, 2016. Forms are going home today! Thank you to those parents who are able to come and support us! Fun lunch is on Nov. 29th :) Thank you to all of the grade 3/4 students for your hard work and dedication in preparing for the assembly last week (sorry, apparently the Thursday post didn't work). You should all be very proud of your effort and sacrifices that were made in order to put on such an emotional and respectful Remembrance Day assembly. We started our day with a quiet reading period for our morning work (and earned an easy 5 minutes for our earned time!) before meeting for circle. In Phys. Ed, we played a game of hockey where we are focusing on being respectful and having fun while developing our skills. Next, we talked about how we can set goals that can help improve our learning and the learning of our peers. We all set a goal that we will be responsible for tracking on a daily basis. Ask me what my goal is and what strategies I will use to help me achieve my goal. After recess, we read two very sad chapters in our Wonder book. Ask me about the fight between Via and Auggie and how that was overshadowed by a sad goodbye :( During our goal setting, we had a surprise fire drill which meant we were unable to get to our social videos this morning! We did have time to practice our French introductions, reviewed a song to remind us how to ask how we are feeling and went over our numbers to 50. After lunch, we had DEAR time (after organizing and finishing up some stuff from the morning) before going to music class. Next, we watched a couple of videos to get us to think about some initial observations of the countries and province that we are examining in grade 3 and 4, respectively, before discussing some of the similarities and differences that we noticed. Ask me what I thought! Enjoy your night grade 3/4s :)
