Congratulations to last weeks student of the week- Maryn!! She demonstrated an ability to follow through with classroom expectations, support her peers in various learning activities and to ensure she stayed on task during independent learning opportunities! Way to go Maryn!
FYI: *Book orders due Wednesday! *Fun lunch on Wednesday! *PD day on Friday- no school Homework: Read for at least 20 minutes a day. Students should be selecting a new home-reading book after arriving at school each day :) As you all know- Ms. Parent was away on Thursday and we welcome Mr. Ibbotson into our classroom. The students participated in their first lockdown practice and most students were able to show great levels of maturity during this serious practice activity. We started our day working on our graphic stories where we created fiction stories about where Ms. Parent might have been on Thursday. Afterwards, we went into the gym and worked on our passing skills before playing a couple of scrimmage games in ringette. After gym, we worked on our mapping assignments until recess before having a snack and reading a chapter of Wonder. Ask me what I predict will happen in the next chapter called "Aliens"! Next, we went back to writing our creature fairytales that we put aside while we worked so diligently on our Remembrance Day preparations. We typed out our stories using a different font for each voice in our collaborative stories and some of us have even started our chalk pastel final art pieces! After lunch, we enjoyed our music class before spending a bit more time on our art pieces and then participating in cooperative games for health class. Finally, we rated our goals and cleaned up our learning space before heading home! Have a great night everyone!
