Dear Parents and Families of Grade 3 students,
Unfortunately there have been a couple of incidents recently of an unknown individual who has posted inappropriate words and comments on our blogs under another student’s name. We removed the comments as quickly as possible, and now have set up our blogs as such that all comments are subject to approval by homeroom teachers before they are posted to the blogs. We are using these incidents as a learning opportunity for students. We have spoken to our classes about how physical actions and words greatly affect other people. This is an opportunity to talk about our responsibility in digital citizenship and online safety. One way you can help is by viewing and responding to the classroom blog with your child. Thank you for your support as we learn and collaborate together. Sincerely, Jennifer England Karin Lauf Tammy Parent Rocks and Minerals Materials Required for Upcoming Activities – Your child will be participating in numerous Rocks and Minerals Science centers and activities over the next few weeks.
