Congratulations to Rachel who is our student of the week and has earned the teacher chair!
Finuffy has gone home with Callum this weekend and we hope he has a lot of fun with him. We can't wait to hear all about his adventures!! We are intending on starting an art project next week inspired by our visit with Mr. Nelson and the pigeons which requires tin foil! If you have any extra rolls of tin foil that anyone could bring in for next week- it would be greatly appreciated!! There are a few students who still have the coupon books at home (from the beginning of the year) and need to either bring in the $20 for the cost of the book or return the coupon book. This is for a fundraiser and lost/missing books have to be paid for out of the money raised. While there are quite a few parents that are signed up to volunteer for different things in the classroom (snacks, field trips etc.), we would always like to expand on our list of volunteers. If you have not received an email from Corrine (our coordinator) that means that she does not have your information/you are not signed up to help out if you were hoping to take part in the classroom. If you are interested in helping out in anyway (and being on the email list) please email Corrine at [email protected] Important Dates: Oct. 31st: Classroom Halloween Party in the afternoon. Please email our classroom coordinator (Corrine) if you are able to bring Nov. 3rd: Fish Creek walk with our buddies Nov. 8th: Telus Spark Please bring an artifact for Monday Highlights from our day: Yesterday we spent the day with Ms. Temple who said we were amazing students while Ms. Parent was away. We worked on our visual journal activity that outlined shows what we learned and questions we still have about carrier pigeons. We had music We met with all of the grade 3 classes in the field where Mr. Nelson showed us some of his carrier/racing pigeons and shared some interesting facts about his pigeons! We also got to pet a white pigeon and some of us even got to release them to fly home!! Thank you Mr. Nelson!! We loved having you with us today!! We had buddies with Ms. Smith's class where we helped our buddies with a pumpkin scoop! We had PE outside to end our day :) Have a great weekend everyone! Remember you should be reading for 20 minutes every day. Comments are closed.
